The Importance of Samples
The creation of a paper pattern for a garment is the first and most crucial step in the production of a garment. The garment rendering must be disassembled into its shape through structural design after the garment designer has created it. In other words, first create a paper pattern of the garment's structure first, then draw its structural drawing on a punchboard. Finally, use the paper pattern to cut the fabric and create a sample garment. On the pattern, adjustments are made if necessary. Once the sample has been approved, the pattern is finalized and, barring any alterations like shrinkage, is used as the model's standard pattern.
